7 Days Kenya Safari: Ol Pejeta, Samburu, Nakuru & Mara

Your Kenyan safari begins with a morning departure from Nairobi, travelling north through scenic countryside towards Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Upon arrival, enjoy a game drive across this remarkable conservation area, known for its rich wildlife and vital role in protecting endangered species, including black and white rhinos. Keep watch for elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras and numerous antelope species as you explore the conservancy. Later, proceed to your camp for dinner and an overnight stay, surrounded by the peaceful atmosphere of the African wilderness.

Spend a full day exploring the beautiful Samburu National Reserve, with morning and afternoon game drives offering excellent opportunities to discover its diverse wildlife. Follow the Ewaso Ng'iro River, where animals often gather to drink, and search for elephants, lions, leopards, crocodiles and a variety of bird species. Samburu is especially celebrated for its unique northern wildlife, including the reticulated giraffe, Grevy's zebra, gerenuk, Somali ostrich and Beisa oryx. Between game drives, enjoy time to relax and take in the striking scenery before returning to your lodge for dinner and overnight accommodation.

After breakfast, leave Lake Nakuru and travel towards the world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve, passing through the beautiful landscapes of the Great Rift Valley. The Mara is celebrated for its abundant wildlife, open grasslands and exceptional predator sightings. Depending on your arrival time and the day's schedule, enjoy a game drive as you enter the reserve, looking for elephants, lions, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras and large herds of wildebeest. The reserve also offers opportunities to encounter leopards and other fascinating species. Later, proceed to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay in the heart of Kenya's safari country.

After breakfast, depart the Maasai Mara and begin your journey back to Nairobi, travelling through Kenya's scenic countryside. Depending on your departure arrangements, there may be an opportunity for a short morning game drive before leaving the reserve, subject to timing and any additional costs. Upon arrival in Nairobi, you will be transferred to your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward journey. Your seven-day Kenyan safari concludes with wonderful memories of diverse landscapes, remarkable wildlife encounters and some of the country's most celebrated national parks and conservancies.
