Mkomazi is located in northeastern Tanzania, near the Kenyan border. It lies between the Pare and Usambara Mountains and covers an area of about 3,245 square kilometers.
The best time to visit Mkomazi is during the dry season, from June to October, when wildlife viewing is at its best. The weather is cooler and animals tend to gather around water sources, making them easier to spot.
