As the sun rises, you resume your trek, leaving the forest behind and entering the expansive grassland known as the Saddle. The trail offers stunning vistas of Mount Meru and Kilimanjaro in the distance. Climbing steadily, you reach Saddle Hut at an altitude of 3,570 meters. Here, amidst the alpine landscape, you'll spend the night, preparing for the next day's ascent.
This day is the pinnacle of your Mount Meru experience. You embark on an early morning ascent to reach the summit, Socialist Peak, standing at an impressive 4,562 meters. The trek in the pre-dawn darkness is rewarded with the breathtaking spectacle of the sunrise over the African plains. After savoring the achievement, you descend back to Saddle Hut for a well-deserved rest before making your way down to Miriakamba Hut for the night.
The final leg of your trek involves a descent through the dense forest, retracing your steps toward Momella Gate.
